The Nebraska Cycling Association had its first annual membership meeting January 20 in Fremont, Nebraska fleshing out a board of directors and electing new officers for 2009. As a first time process for the NCA, the members present wrestled with some procedural issues before settling down to a very productive and positive meeting. For 2009, the NCA board consists of: Ryan Feagan - President Jon Downey - Vice President Kelly Soden - Treasurer Cheryl Gerkins - Secretary Permits Coordinator - John Peterson Upgrade Coordinator - Kevin Burke Officials Coordinator - Jon Downey NE Rep - John Spray Tri-Cities Rep - Dan Schuldt Metro Rep - Bryan Redemske Womens Racing Committee Chair - Nancy Stirek Juniors Racing Coordinator - Dan Spray Results and Rankings Coordinator - Bryan Redemske Other board members: Sean Weide, Pat Cash, Kim Carveth, Jeff Hart The Nebraska Cycling Association is the organizing body for road, mountain bike and cyclocross racing in Nebraska. Affiliated with USA Cycling, it is a local association that serves as the first point of contact for athletes in Nebraska. Our goal is to ensure a full and well-rounded race schedule with events and activities for cyclists of all tastes and skill levels to participate in and excel. |
